In fact, this year a gang of Eastern European cybercriminals used malware to deliver a pretty big hit to a Northeast based family-owned chain of electronic stores. It was six months before the malware was detected and by that point cyber crooks had run up nearly $3 million in fraudulent credit card transactions.

The worst misconception any SMB can have is that they are too small to be noticed by cybercriminals. Even businesses with less than a dozen employees have become a growing target.
