IT Direct receives 2018 Marcum Tech Top 40 award
On October 3rd, IT Direct was honored again with a Marcum Tech Top 40 award, presented at this year’s Connecticut Technology Council ConnectiTECH Awards event.
The Marcum Tech Top 40 has honored over 400 Connecticut-based technology and tech-enabled companies since 2008. The awards recognize technology leaders in six industry sectors: Advanced Manufacturing; Energy and Environmental; Life Sciences; New Media, Internet, and Telecom; IT Services; and Software. I have some exciting news! Changes are afoot at IT Direct to drive more value to you and it’s all because of your feedback. Although all of our survey scores are well above industry norms, the area we are most asked to improve is in turn back reduction / first time accuracy improvement. To drive consistent and measurable improvement in this area, I am proud to announce a Total Quality Manager (TQM) position at IT Direct, which we have filled!
At IT Direct Sammy will be doing more of the same, including building out and launching our Quality Management System (QMS) based on ISO 9001:2015 standards to ensure continuity of quality throughout IT Direct. Taking quality to the next level will drive myriad benefits for you including:

Hartford, CT – Exciting news! IT Direct has been named 2017’s Best Places to Work in Connecticut. This twelfth annual program was created by the Hartford Business Journal and Best Companies Group.
This survey and awards program was designed to identify, recognize, and honor the best employers in Connecticut. These employers have been known for benefiting the state’s economy, workforce, and businesses. The list is made up of 40 companies split into two categories: 26 small/medium-sized companies (15-199 US employees) and 14 large-sized companies (200 or more US employees). IT Direct has been named one of this year’s Best Places to Work in Connecticut in the small/medium category.

Companies from across the state have entered the two-part survey process to determine the Best Places to Work in Connecticut. The first part consisted of evaluating each company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems, and demographics. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. The combined scores determined the top companies.
IT Direct will be recognized at a special awards ceremony in February, and the actual rankings will be published in the February issue of the Hartford Business Journal.

Top 501 Managed Service Providers
IT Direct ranks among the world’s most progressive 501 Managed Service Providers (MSPs), according to Penton Technology’s 9th-annual MSP 501 list and study. The top MSP 501 companies ranked this year include organizations from around the world and from diverse technology and business backgrounds. Collectively, they amassed $9.82 billion in sales in 2015 and increased their oversight of technology devices to more than 5.6 million.

In addition to a ranking on the MSP 501 list, every company that participated in the study has been assigned a score reflecting its intrinsic value. The measure, known as the Total Service Provider (TSP) score, evaluates an MSP’s mix of revenue from various activities, including consulting, cloud, reselling and managed services.
