Sales Manager Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the performance and development of the sales team (our Solution Specialists.)
- Understands and lives IT Direct core values to ensure that they are communicated and implemented within the team.
- Conducts regular coaching and counseling meetings with Solution Specialists to build more effective communication, understand their training and professional development needs, and the improvement of Solution Specialist's sales.
- Recruits, tests, and hires Solution Specialists based on criteria agreed upon with senior management.
- Insures that all Solution Specialists meet or exceed all activity standards for prospecting calls, appointments, presentations, proposals and closes.
- Prepares action plans for effective search of sales leads and prospects.
- Executes a business plan and sales strategy to ensure attainment of company sales goals.
- Participates in networking and community events to develop relationships with potential clients and referral sources.
- Assists in the development and implementation of marketing plans as needed.
- Provides timely feedback to senior management regarding performance of Solution Specialists.
- Maintains accurate records of all sales and activity reports submitted by Solution Specialists.
- Participate in preparation of proposals and related presentations, and RFP responses.
- Oversee/manage sales team budget.
Relationships and Roles:
- Reports to the President of IT Direct.
- Is part of the Executive Management Team of IT Direct and will be expected to participate in weekly and quarterly management meetings.
- Sets examples for Solution Specialists in areas of personal character, commitment, organizational and selling skills, and work habits.
- Demonstrates ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees.
You Need:
- Suitable experience in sales management.
- Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
- Proven leadership skills.
- Ability to support a team to meet sales goals.
- Experience in local market and established business contacts a plus.
